hi all hope someone can help,,,i have a 40 gallon corner tank,,all water parameters are perfect,,,,fish are itching and can not see white spot,,,,got told to buy sterazin for flukes,,,treated tank in the dose,s required and they are still itching,,,can this be something else?

when the tank lights go out shine a light on the fish and see if it looks as though they are covered in gold dust. that would be velvet. fish can flick from that as well as Ich or other parasites, but us less obvious as it is hard to notice in regular bright tank light.
best of luck

thanks for that

What cichlids do you have?

Mbuna regularly flick or rub against the substrate or rocks as a part of their aggression or breeding displays. Unless they are doing it constantly, there's nothing to worry about. :good:
