A couple of my Discus are flicking off the plants, they are showing no other signs of illness. Probably a bit stressed due to the problems I'm having with a bully in the tank at the moment.

Anyway I called Chris at Plymouth Discus and he said to use Sterazin (Chris is a local supplier/breeder, who knows his stuff!)
I stopped by the LFS to get some earlier, and they have given me Sterazin P (for ponds) and yes I was too busy talking and never checked.

I sure I can remember reading that some people use pond treatments for Discus because they are stronger, if this is the case how much do I use.
Is this safe to use for tropical water fish? With a tank full of Discus I don't want to take any chances:S

Thanks, Personally I can't see there being a problem dosing etc is the same.
I will phone them in the morning.

I cant give you an exact or definite answer, but I was certainly under the impression that they cannot be interchanged as the concentrations were different, therefore the dosage needed would be very different.

I belive that sterazin P is a stronger concentration than sterazin.
as wilder has suggested contact waterlife for proper guidance.

Morning

A quick update for those who are interested. I emailed Waterlife this morning, the reply was...The Sterazin P can be used, but one has to use a double strength dosage on a Tropical Aquarium as the product breaks down under higher temperatures.

Thanks for your help :D
