Starting up a marine tank

Im starting up a marine tank and all I know about fish is pretty much just about Fresh water fish...so I want to know If I can use just Normal Aquarium salt to get the tank right. Or do I have to buy the other stuff?

It has to be true marine grade salt for a marine tank. THis salt carries many trace eliments that are vital for survival. )
