Hey everyone,

Just started up a tank again and just looking for opinions or suggestions. Water is still cloudy from the flourite substrate. No fish added yet just some plants. Right side going for a Val jungle, across the front I have some chain sword planted wanting it to spread out across the bottom. And left side there is some giant hairgrass. The fish I plan on adding are a few angelfish, a pair of apistogrammas, some rummynose and maybe cardinal tetras and some corys. Any thoughts on other plants to add or set up suggestions?

I believe angels and tetras wouldn't be a good idea because the angels would eventually make them breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Something similar to tetras that I had with my angel would be cherry barbs normally the females would be copper in color and the males would be more brightly red. Other than that everything else seems fine.

I love it so far!  That is a cool looking tree... thing.

I've never had angels, but from what I've heard, they will probably snack on tetras, as mentioned above.  Keep us posted!

If the tetras are fully grown then cardinals/ rummynose shouldn't be an issue with angels.
The tree thing is good. Definitely needs more plants and stuff though.

I would move the tree out of the centre, about a third of the way down probably...

And angels will be fine with cardinals if the angels are young. Cardinals grow a bit bog for angels to eat and if they grow up together they should be fine.

Ah, the rule of thirds.  A good guideline to make pleasing scapes.
