Starting New 140 Litre Tank

I'm new here, just looking for some advise. I have only set the bottom layout with gravel, sand and stone few small java bunches. Could anyone advise me on plants and what fish would you suggest?

Do some research on the plants before purchase. My LFS sells a lot of different plants, but very few are true aquatics, and they will eventually die, rot, and potentially cause issues for your fish.
 
Tank dimensions would be great so you can get some decent advice as to your fish stocking. Some fish need longer tanks and bigger schools than others.

Easiest plants would be ones which you can attach to wood and rocks like Java ferns certain anubius and mosses.
Just google Low tech plants to find some easy care hardy and easy plants to add initially
 
Fish I guess depends on your actual water do you have soft acidic water or harder more alkaline ?
