hehe...oscars certainly have teeth...and i used to feed my adult oscar crays all the time...here's a link to a pic of him... very healthy...kept on a diet of crays crickets and cichlid pellets.birdman said:chris_jt....oscars dont have teeth dude.
i still dont get how an oscar can eat a large crayfish....
and ive heard from heaps of fish stores that worms are bad to feed your oscars or anyfish for that matter.
i bought crickets...heh they love em![]()
thanks for all your replies.
dont worry man you didnt come off as rude at all, thats what we're here for, to help you. i started feeding mine good size crays when he was about 8 to 10 inches. you should be able to get crays at any pet shop for short money. i think i paid a 1.25 each. with my oscar there was no mess at all, he took it in and kept it in, usually oscars take stuff in and spit it out or blow it through their gills. once he sucked up the cray, he never let any slip out, they love em.birdman said:im sorry man i got told by someone at a fishstore they dont....obviosly he was wrong
i didnt mean to sound rude at all though, i appologise if i did....i just was told by a fish store person and i trusted their knowledge since they work at a fish store and all...i wont be doing that again.![]()
where can i get these crays from? and what size should they be for the oscars to be able to handle them?
will it be messy? im picking by the way they eat their cichlid pellets that it will be![]()
