i had about a dozen tropical fish but when i started adding new ones they all died within two days. i have no idea what has been killing them, all my fish are guppies and neons etc.. and ive checked the temp, filtering stystem, nearly every diease, ammonia, nitrite and the acidity of the water.
So now a want to strat again with a new tank and everything but i was wondering whether it would be alright to put my surviving existing fish in the tank or would they pass on the disease or whatever it is into the new tank and infect that one aswell?? :unsure

thx! overalljames

Hi, sounds like the first attempt was a case of an un cycled tank/filter. If you have the luxury of another, new set-up then I would advise to read and follow the 'pinned' posting titled 'Fishless Cycle' at the head of this forum while keeping your existing fish alive with daily, partial water changes (ie, cycle WITH fish) not forgetting to de-chlorinate the new water. The result should be 2 cycled set-ups within 6-8 weeks
