Aggressive Tank

Humma Humma Trigger
Valentini Puffer
Rectangular Trigger

Lemonpeel Angel=Hybrid
Eibli Angel

Possably a Chocolate Chip Starfish

I'm pretty new to this hobby. The only experience I have is my friend has a 55 gallon tank with: two valentini puffers, hawiian spotted puffer, Corly Beuty angelfish, Tamato clown and a crab.

Better get a BIG tank for those triggers cause as they grow they'll need it. Think 5ft long or more. You'll need great skimming with messy predators in the tank and dont even think about keeping a starfish with the puffer or triggers... It'll be lunch very quickly for them. Furthermore, dwarf angels will have no place in the same tank as those triggers. When the triggers get fullgrown they may just eat the dwarf angels. Fullsize angels would be OK, but not dwarfs. Also remember, you'd be stuck with fish only with those guys as they'd all munch on corals

The Huma Huma will only get 10inches so the dwarf angels should be alright, right? I was plaining on a "Fish Only" tank anyway.

Jordan, you'd be surprised at the attitude some of these triggerfish can get ;). I've been harassed and bitten through out an entire dive by a 12" queen trigger despite the fact that I'm probably well over 80" long with my fins on. Little pric fish bit through my 6mil shortsuit. What I'm trying to say is that certain individual triggerfish can develop a personailty problem if you will. I will admit that I have little knowledge of humma humma (hawaiian) triggers, but I do know that they are not a genus of fish to be underestimated.

Thank you for all your help!

No problem, keep us posted on what you decide to do. I'd love to see some first-hand pics of a humma humma :D

skifletch is right. Never underestimate a trigger.
I have seen queen triggers actively stalking other fish by lurking behind rocks and then rushing out to attack them! (They also did this to the owner when he tried feeding the tank and left the tip of his finger under the water a bit too long whilst hand feeding the moray  Just goes to show these fish are cunning and very aggressive. It watched him over a period of weeks doing this feeding routine and it devised a way of getting him by practising on the other fish! :-(

There is no longer a need for this tread, because i'm now getting my friends 1yr. established tank with 2 valentinis, hawian blue spotted puffer, tamato clown, coral beauty angel
