Starting A Planted Freshwater Tank. Help!

hi, im new to this site, and i was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to attempt to start setting up my tank for plants. Like i dont understand if i should let my new 20 g tank cycle without plants, or what. PLEASE HELP!

As far as i know you can cycle with or without plants its not really a problem.

Its easier to plant a tank if its not full of water but its up to you really. I planted my tank when it was empty, but didn't do a fishless cycle, i just moved some fish and filter media from another tank.

Im biggest tip would bet to read the pinned threads, in the planted section, they'll give you mountains of advice
