Woot! I finally started a sorority. I got 5 females at the moment, but Im thinking about jumping up to 7. This is all in a 20g. Im thinking I would have enough room right? Since its about an inch a gallon of water. Anyways, I love the sorority tank and the girls are great to watch.

So you have five female Betta fish? Cool! I read a message on here that the females can become aggressive and territorial, and that the maximum amount of female Betta fish in a tank was three, because of territory issues, but maybe that is just for a three gallon tank, like what I have. Good luck with your Bettas. I hope everything turns out well, if you decide to get two more to add to your Betta fish aquarium. :)

So many things wrong with what you just said.... I don't believe any well-meaning member of the forum would tell you something like this.

First of all, the minimum number of females you can keep together is 4 or 5. Secondly, they must be in at least 10 gallons. This is because of the territory issue.

Keeping 3 females in a 3 gallon is a NO-NO. 3 gallons is about the right size for just one fish, not three.

colaradogirl how many times do you need to be told the maximum for your tank is ONE! with female bettas if you intend to keep more than 1 5 is the minimum if your tank isnt big enough then 1 noe please colaradogirl you have been told

btw cool atha04 i am setting up a female beta tank aswell
