So here's the story.
I struck a deal with the wife that I would install a new kitchen and I could have a fish tank in there.
So as soon as I start setting the tank up she declares that it is far too big
What do you guys think is this too big to be in a kitchen?

Does anybody have any other ideas as to what other fish would be good in there?
ATM I have 4 F8 puffers, that's it. I am open to any suggestions as to what else could be good.
Orange chromides? Archerfish(microlepsis) That is always assuming I can find any I live in the South West of England and very few shops stock any brackish indeed they are not even prepared to order any in for me either.

Looks good there mate :good:
Your lucky, i have to have all mine in my bedroom!
You could get a few bumble bee gobies in there, stay small and great fish to watch! Get some more decoration in there though like plants as im sure those F8s will get very bored. And it will look great when fully established! Nice work getting it in the house!

Id be more worried about the fact it looks like the work top is beding in the middle

Good grief you got me worried then. I just checked it with a 6 foot straight edge it's def not bending.
The back part of the worktop is supported by angle iron fixed to the wall and the divider underneath goes straight down onto a concrete floor.

Depends all on how much you want the fish and the tank. Puffers need space.

If not get a little 12-Liter-tank and throw some Java moss plus some Amano shrimps into the brackish water.

I'd change out that bulb if I were you. Actinic looks fine on marine tanks, but IMHO brackish tanks should have spectra more like FW planted than anything. Actinic is mainly just because it makes corals give off really pretty colors anyway.

Wasn't something that I had given much thought to but your absolutely right. I got the tank second hand and it had been used as a marine tank. I'll get new tubes for it.
There's no fish in it atm so I can change things no problem.
