Staghorn Coral

heres a story...my dad had put new light into the tank behind our original one (it was put there to give more depth)

There wasnt any protective glass underneath and my dad put his staghorn right under the light and well, it burnt and died

just thought i might say that

Sorry about the loss.
The glass on lights such as Halides are there for a good reason, they help filter out the harmful radiation which will burn a coral all too easily.

I have no glass under my halides. But they are 8-10" above the surface.
