Just SQL for now, it's specifically for one project (although we're talking big 18 month minimum type project) relating to an SQL database, we do a soft of software trialing for the company who make it and my boss wants me to be able to work with it a bit rather than having to go back to them for every little thing that we want to do.

My jobs not IT based so it's unlikely that I'd go further than that into other sorts of databases or anything like that, however I think it'll look really good on my CV to show that I can learn IT stuff to this sort of level :)

You love it.... we are all closet techie geeks really.. ( i mean that in a nice geek way if there is one )

oh yeah i'm quite clearly a geek, think that's part of why I'm excited to get the chance to learn something a bit geeky.

i got all giddy the other week when someone was teaching me l33t  (or is it l337, not sure now?! lol)

Excuse me, I'm looking for Fred in 204.

way to far for me..

ha ha that took me ages to translate then realised you'd written it as well

Haha

I have used MS SQL and MYSQL. They are both pretty easy to get started on but can get much harder lol. I like the MS SQL management express GUI, makes it soooo much easier.

no, it'll be bloody ages yet, i work for the council

i'm wanting some other training too so we're waiting to hear from HR with some course details, then my boss has to put that on the training list fo the year, when everyone in the departments has been added to that list it goes to our MD to prioritise and decide what he's going to give and what he isn't, then that goes back to HR who book the courses

it'll take months yet
