I've bought a spray bar for my Fluval 305 external . Kit consist of two drilled lenghs of tube with a rubber piece to join them and suction fittings plus a piece to shape the outlet pipe from the 305.

Should the far end of the spray bar be capped to force water to exit through the spray holes? There appears to be no bung in the kit and if the bar is left open the flow through the spray holes is quite weak and not creating much disturbance/flow in the tank. Most of the water seems to exit the end of the spray bar as you might expect with no bung.

Cheers

Don't worry,,,,question answered now. Got hold of the retailer who opened another box and one of the two tubes should be sealed at one end. Looks like someone had been in my box before me.

Yes, there should be a cap or a cork in the end of a spray bar. My Rena spray bars came equipped with a cap but anything to plug the end, that does not pollute the water, would work.
