Alright well, I work at a LFS, but unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Spiny Eels breeding habits, and ive been searching online for the answer, but there isnt any site that will be helping me out. All I really know is that they will be laying around 800-1000 eggs, and I will know how to take care of the newcomers, but the question is, are they trying to mate? or not?

What I have seen is constant rubbing on each other, and stiffing up together, side by side, and then all of a sudden hitting their bodys off one another. I know that the bigger one is a female for the reason, that the female is bigger, and has changed color into a darker form, but my question is, if they are trying to mate, what should I buy them, so that they lay their eggs on? And should I turn up the heater alittle bit too??.... :hey:
