Spontaneous Breeders

sorry i don't think corydoras would be the way forward, as the parents would eat the eggs, (unless bronze corydoras don't eat their eggs)
Cichlids would probably be best something like angels.
edit. if breeding make sure you get good quality parents other wise getting rid, or sell fry may become quite difficult.

Piranah_Tim... Yes... I do use the convicts as feeder fish as well, but that's when they are young and juicy... before the spiney fins develops

jarcher1390... Dunno if corrys eat their eggs, but they just dont look the type to me and no-one has really discouraged the thought, so I assume that's a go ahead. Regarding Angels, I previously said that they are too easy to breed (been there... Dunnit - got the t-shirt) for this specific project of mine, but rethinking, if I can get ahold of a couple of Black Lace angels... I'll give that a go. For some reason it is believed that the black angel babies are more sensitive and difficult to rear.

Can anyone confirm?? (or recommend)

I once was talking to a man who "claims" he has mollies breeding with a Piranha ... His claims where that generally in a month the Piranha may successfully catch between 3-5 Mollies and in that space of time the mollies have replenished there numbers ....

Humm! convict vs piranhas I wonder? No I couldn't convicts seem such a decent fish to watch the massacre.

Jarcher1390..... I would think a bit of both. If you look at one of my other "current Topics" namely "Cosby Gourami pics", I explain my situation in some detail there.... Being far from the major centres, the fish I offer has to be "in demand" and more expensive in order to break even and won't be for selling as such, but more to swop for new breeding stock or aquarium accessories.

Another bumpin, cause I still need 2 more "spontaneous breeders" and confirmation on wether Bronze corrys would be a better option than pepper, skunk, or Albino corry for this purpose....??
