Hi peeps. I just bought some plants from maidenhead 1 was potted the other 3 where bunched. What I'm wondering is with to potted 1 the is this spongy stuff around the roots in the pot I got as much off as I could but not all of it.

Will it do any harm to the fish?

I've never had any issues. If you haven't already try running the roots under a tap, the water helps get rid of it.

an absolute pain to remove all of it without damaging the roots. get as much off as poss and then plant the plants. it wont harm the fish. as said above it does come apart much better when wet and under a tap or in a bucket

Ok thanks. I had already planted them by the time I posted it lol. So ill just leave it now thanks for ur help
