If you have one large Amazon Sword is it possible to 'split' these into two plants, and replant. I seem to remember reading somewhere on the web that it is, but was just wondernig how you do it?

Thanks :)

get the rossette and and with a sharp knife/ stanley knife cut it so it leaves a couple of leaves on each new rossette. Or you can sometimes pull parts off.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ i dont understand this i want to know how. i split one of mine but the plant i cut off hasnt goten big yet. its been a while and still looks good but i swear hasnt grown an inch...and the "mother" plant already has a new blossom of leaves

I dont have a plant to show you with pictures so i did this rubbish drawing on paint as an example. It can take a while for plants to start growing again, it depends on the health of the plant, how established it is (more leaves the better, and lots of roots) and how much light, nutrients and CO2 there is available to the plants. How long is it since you cut the plant? As long as it isnt diwing then it will be fine.
