Hi i want to get a white cold cathode light for my 12'' tank so i only really want one but the only ones i can find in the uk in white are dual.

Is it possible to remove one light and still connect it to the inverter etc okay?

Sarah,

You can also buy the 4" Cold Cathode tubes ;)

But if you can only get the 12" one, then I can't see a problem with only fitting the 1.

I've managed to crack one of my 12" tubes..... so if you want the remaining tube etc, let me know, and I'll stick it in the post for you !! :) It's a blue one from memory!

(That's assuming that I can find it still after my move!)

Andy

On further investigation, you can't buy a White 4" kit :(

Why not use both tubes from the 12" kit anyway.... and have them side by side..... ;)

More light that way !!! ;) ;)

Cheers for all your replys! :)

Yeah i know you can't seem to buy the 4'' ones in white in the uk,

the one on ebuyer is the one i was looking at buying,

and i can't use both tubes coz the hood is so diddy that 2 won't fit!

blimey, it must be small....

The tubes are only a maximum of 10mm wide........ will measure tonight and double check for ya.
