A couple of days ago I noticed some brown spikes coming out of the rear end of one of my female guppies. I had seen this before, when she was about to give birth, so thought nothing of it. On closer inspection this morning, even some of my MALE guppies and my female betta (who has always been in a separate tank to everyone else) has these spikes. They're about 1mm long and there are between 5 and 10 of them on each affected fish. The fish seem to be acting normally.

I'm in the middle of moving house this week so have no access to my test kits. I have done a 50% water change this morning.

Is this something to worry about?

Thanks

Camallanous worms or usually white then turn red when they have been feeding on the host.
Do the brown spikes difinately look like worms.
