Spawning Tank Size?

I've gotten a bunch of conflicting advice about spawn tank size. I had a 12g in mind ~ but I was told that I'd postpone WC's or forget about changing it as often, which I definitely worry about. Some have said no less than 10, but I know some people have successfully spawned in 2.5gals.

I'd love to get everyone's advice... especially people with experience with different sizes. Right now, I'm definitely leaning towards a 5gal, but I could use some advice! My male and female are both aggressive, so I'm guessing that I eed atleast a 5g to provide enough space and cover. But I really havenoidea.

10 Gallons.
Five would work to, but most people use 10 gallons.
