Spawning My Hm Pk Pair

Dunno why but it's always the females that are keen lol

Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours you should have some eggs! I've got my fingers crossed for you! I so hope you get some males like yours I really would like one or then again even a female

The male is so clueless its cute He swam around after the female for about an hour before she turned around and flared at him, then he swam away and hid! She found the little cup and started on the bubblenest herself!!! Didn't know females would do this!! Anyway, the male decided to come and see what she was doing and so came out to help!! Got a couple of pics of them starting their bubblenest. That was about an hour ago, they've made a fairly small nest and have now decided to have a rest in the plant They are both very strange. Never had any bettas do this before!!
Anyway, i hope we'll get there eventually...

Have had females build bubblesnests before and also couples that swim around together and just want to be friends but they generally spawn in the end.

Looks like its going to be an interesting wait for you

Wonderful stuff. Am sooo looking forward to doing my HM pair soon. The last time she caught sight of a male she was tail in the air and ready to go. Pity the male wasn't quite so together.

Nope, nothing has happened. The female is getting annoyed now i think as she's made a nice bubblenest but the male doesn't seem to understand If they haven't spawned by this evening i will take them out and re-condition them and see if they can work it out in a coupel of weeks
