Sparkling gourami are so underrated!

I finally gave up on tnę idea of owning Betta Smaragdina, so instead I got a trio of these sparkling gourami, and I must say, they're gorgeous and their personalities are awesome!

They're definitely high on my "want to keep one day" list! Since seeing my hobbyist friend's photos of her sparking gourami fry and as they grew, they seem like lovely little fish, really pretty.

They are fantastic creatures. They're a little small for the average tank, but if you prioritize them in the set up, they are great.
