Hi I've just got back into keeping tropical fish after a 30+ years break  .Gosh what a lot has changed  (for the better) back then all we did was fill the tank and leave it for a few days before adding fish and plants.There is so much to learn now   I've only got as far as the water cycling stage  now looking into which plants I need to buy and how many

Things have certainly changed a lot but, as you say, definitely for the better Our fish grow much bigger and live much longer than they used to!
