I'm trying really hard to act normal
I've been keeping fish tanks for years, but never come across this dilemna before. I'm setting up a 10 gallon tank at work for our waiting room. I need to buy a hood for it, but really didn't want to spend the $30+ for a compact flourescent hood. Can I get the cheaper incandescent hood and put in the engery saver lightbulbs? Or would the incandescent light be alright? I was under the impression it raises the water temp quite considerably and there's more problems with algae. And will the normal energy saver bulbs work (ie fit) or are there special type bulbs that I would need to get?
