Hi
sorry about all the qustions
Whats the fluval vicenza 180. Sore it to day a good idear but the holes in the bottom of the tank are a bit worrieing.
Any help on this any probs with it what is the pros/cons. As i will get 1 in the week

As i say sorry for all the questions

The holes are where you connect your Fluval external canister filter to. The one usually supplied with this tank is a Fluval 205, all I can find out is that it connects to these holes using Fluval's "easy connect" system. Now whether these holes can only connect to a Fluval filter I don't know without taking a closer look. Most people on this forum have a generally poor opinion of Fluval canisters and tend to opt for Eheim or Tetratecs instead. I have run an old Fluval 203 for 12 months now with no problems but I am very careful about checking seals and piping on a regular basis as I know they are prone to leaking. How good the new 05 series of canisters is I can't tell you.

:good:

I have the 260 bowfront, in light oak

I have no problems at all, its a brilliant tank you can fit most externals onto the adaptors at the bottom of the holes. And its allot neater than having pipes going down te back of the tank.

in terms of fluval for filtration i have no problems with mine, ive had eheim externals from thermo's to proffessionals and to be honest, i don't think they are worth the money. don't get me wrong they are efficeint but very over priced for what they actually are. The new rena xp's on the other hand, are very good and simple to use and they are not even close to eheim prices.

im sure there are many people who would disagree, but from a retailers point of view i think fluval are a good affordable filter, easy accessable parts too.
