Seeming as my Really Not so LFS isn't going to be getting any female betta's in for a while... I was thinking about getting a few ( 3-5 ) zebra danios for my sorority tank(10gal) for the time being to keep Wazzie occupied....

This should work, right?

i had danios with my male betta and it was fine, he wasn't bothered by their speed and liked to join in.....I should think it would be even better for females!

Aye, any other suggestions?

I know what will and won't go with bettas. I'm just curious as to what people would personally stick in there with them.

my male betta is soon to have harlequin rasbora friends and dwarf neon (praecox) rainbow fish.....also heard cherry barbs make nice friends, tetra can, neon tetra nipped my male, but would be fine with females....so I guess probably all tetra.
corydoras aswell seem to make good betta pals.......*thinks*

I have found White Cloud Mountain Minnows great with female bettas. The females if not used to small fish will chase them for a bit, then get used to them quickly. White Clouds are also really fast food getters, and take small mouthfuls, so your tank will get equal share of the food. White Clouds are very hardy, and can stay in unfiltered/unheated water if they must for long periods, though it is far better to keep them heated and filtered :D

Either way; good luck :D
