Hello Ashley, it looks like the same problem Jozlyn and SouthernCross are talking about, and I have a dwarf gourami with the same sickness (ulcer) at the moment. Since I am based in Mexico, I can't recommend you any medicines, but I suggest you read this http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?s=&amp...t&p=1511598
It contains all the information you need, and you can check with the pictures whether it is similar to your sore.

Good luck!

Saw this thread title and I was going to come in and point you in the direction of my previous thread but I see Biulu has beaten me to it! Check it all out, you won't get better advice than that for this problem on this forum (or probably elsewhere either)

Just curiously - what country are you from? I ask because Jozlyn and I both from Australia with an identical problem - we were speculating with sylvia in Jozlyn's thread whether its something to do with the dwarfs out here in particular...

Hope you have better luck than I did.

yeh i had a look, the sores on mine are kinda the same, but a bit larger and on his lips.... im also from australia :)

*sigh* It's looking more and more like there's something wrong with the dwarfs out here. I don't know whether to get more anymore...:( Its a shame, I really like them.

I am having the same problem with my dwarf, and I am in Mexico! So, you're not the only ones! I hope he's pulling through, as I have been treating him now for 4 days, and still eating......

my red one is fine and has been since ever..... the blue one seems fine also, doesnt seemed bothered by his lips

Don't be decieved by appearances.

My dwarf had an ulcer near his mouth - acted completely fine with it for a couple of weeks. Then went downhill rapidly and died within a couple of days.

If he has ulcers - something is wrong. Don't make my mistake and do nothing cos he's 'acting' fine. Treat it if you can. Have a read of the similar topics, they'll be on either this page or page 2 of this forum. Lately everyone's been directed to the post made by me - sylvia put a heap of advice in it.

Good luck.

When I got my powder blue the other day the store had a new shipment of red gouramis. They had sores on their mouths and he said they just kept dying, were in US
