Somewhat Of A Newbie

Hello, i am a fairly new fish keeper, ive taken care of some tropical fish before. My father just got a new job so he has no time to care for his fish anymore. thus he left me his 30 gallon tank with a pleco. Its cycled and heated, the pleco is of a smaller species so have no fear. Id like to get another fish though, im a big fan of keeping single fish, im not a fan of shoaling fish, i also like larger fish (preferably one that wont eat the pleco), i also like fish with alot of personality and must be freshwater. If you have any suggestions, shoot.

(keep in mind im always up for a challenge, so it doesnt matter too much to me if the fish is hard to take care of)

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum! Wow! I could name about a dozen different fish, but I'm not sure what you like. You could go with a gourami, some cichlids, and many more!

It would be a beter idea for you to post in the Tropical discussion section, more people will read your post and will hopefully be able to give you some ideas on stocking your tank
