Yesterday I squeezed the gunk out of my filter sponges in tank water (in the bucket)... and today there is a bit of a cloud. Changed half the water again and have tested the water fir ammonia with the API liquid test kit and it is a clear solid yellow, so 0 ammonia.

Is this anything to worry about?

Tank is 10 gallon and has been running for 4 or 5 years now.

Probably nothing to worry about.  I have noticed over several years that the tank is slightly cloudy after the canister filters are cleaned.

it could be a small bacteria bloom ... if it looks like you've added a few drops of milk to water that's the most likely thing. They're common in new set ups but I see yours is a mature tank.
Either way, if there's no reading for ammonia or nitrite and nitrates arn't high I wouldn't worry too much. It'll probably clear up as fast as it arrived :)
