Something's wrong with my male guppy!!!!!

My male guppy's tail colour is fading and is now turing white(not transparent)!!!Is it stress or is there something wrong with the tank water?Please,I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you telll us everything you have sone so far;
a. How many gallons does the tank hold and how long has it been set up?
b. Do you use dechlorinator and do you test kits/results for ammonia, nitrates and nitrites?
c. How many fish do you have and what in the tank?
d. Have you used any chemicals or meds on the tank recently?

a:I am not quite sure,actually.
b:I do use dechlorinator but I do not use test kits.
c:I have about 16 fish inside,4 java ferns, 3 fake plants, 10 shrimps and 4 apple snails.
d:Yes, just yesterday.

What type of 16 fish will help, there really isn't much that can be done without water test results. Most lfs will do them for you if you bring a sample in.

You need to find out your tank size but its most likely overstocked at a guess, i would do a 50% water change with dechlorinator imediatly and them come back with your tank size in gallons.
