hi. im really worried about my lepord danio. whe has a red wound like mark on his stomach n wont come away from the top of the tank. he's also just spinning around in circles.

cant do a water test as none left but test was fine yesterday when i put new plant and also 5 female betts in the tank.

could my danio have gotten this disease from the bettas or have they just been attacking him? cant say i've noticed any fights.

also seems to have something that looks like a hair hanging out of either side of his mouth n has gone very dark in colour!

PLEASSSSE HELP!!!

He's in a bad way, the mark on his tummy is bacterial and going dark in colour in a sign of a bacterial infection.
Does it look stringy or fluffy the thing hanging out of his mouth.
Issolate him even if its in a container at the top of the tank.

Almost looks like a hair stuck in its mouth. giving a whisker like appearance at both sides. the lump is on one side just behind the gills. hes on his own in a small pot at the minute.

He has mouth fungus, and the lump sounds bacterial, to be honest he sounds in a bad way and dosn't sound like he's going to make it.
Is he laboured breathing.

hes up at the top of the jar we have put him in. breathing rapidly. not really going below surface much.

Put him in a icecream box container at the top of the tank, he's needs more air in his water.
He's dying sorry, nothing to be done he's breathing gone so he won't cope with the meds.

what about the rest of the tank? 20% water change a few days back. is it worth changing a bit more?

Yes always best to do a few daily water changes when a fish has been ill.
Sorry about the little guy bless him.

if he's dying will it not be best to euthanize him? i love my fish to bits. dont want to see one dying. :(

Hows his breathing now.

its still fast but not eratic. seems to be swimming around more but still not come away from the surface. he seems to be trying to but its like his body just wont agree with him and floats him straight back up.

Bless him, not good.
I would say add a bacterial med but not in a container without aeration in there.

the poor fella has just died. it was weird tho because we let him in the tank again as he seemed alot better. one of the other danios was chasin him around n all of a sudden he just started to swim up and down continuously. then we looked again n he was dead?

any idea what this behaviour means..besides that he was dyin?

Bless him, not good.
