My betta Promethius has an odd lump on his head. I didn't see it yesterday. It has what I would call a "blood-clot" sticking out of it. I'm going to try to put a picture up. The scales are sticking up, and it seems to give him a hard time when he goes up for air. His lips are also "swollen". What do I need to medicate him with? Anyone seen this before?

P.S. Sorry about the picture quality.

He's in a bad way and once the scales stick out its organ failure.
He has alot of bacterial infections there.
You could try epson salt in his bowl one teaspoon to a gal.
And add a bacterial med to his bowl.
What are your stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Can you enlarge the picture to look at that growth on his head.

I'm picking up some MelaFix, PimaFix, and salt today. Since I've changed his water last night and added some BettaFix Remedy, his swelling has gone down. He seems to be doing a little bit better. His bump is also reducing in size. Thanks for the info!
