hi. so im getting rid of my male mollie n guppy, as i cant afford to keep the babies until there big enough for the shop, so im gunna end up with:

3 female gupz
4 female mols
bout 10 neons

as there are no longer goin to be any fry flyign around, and 1 less full grown fish, i wanna get a few nice fish to finish off my tank.

i wanna get a small group of nicely coloured, nicely behaved fish. i was thinking of platys ( bright red ones in my lfs) but i wa thinking sumthing different. by different i dont mean rare, just not a livebearer. It cant be a large fish, i have been suggested/ thought about some corys, but id prefer more active fish if i can :D

i am also getting a 5.5g aqua cube for xmas, and am thinking of stocking with a betta, but i am open to suggestions on that too.

thnx :hyper:

We need to know the size of your tank before anyone can make suggestions for you.

if you have female livebearers who have previously given birth to fry, you are going to have fry even if you get rid of the male as they can hold onto sperm packets for quite a long time. Not sure on the exact time frame, but I think it may be up to a year, so for another year you're looking at fry every month.

My suggestion if you do't want any more fry is to return the female fish and replace them with males instead (5+ of each).

as for suggestions on fish, we need to know your tank size first :good:

i know they can have fry for up to 6 months... but i dont mind coz after that its all good.

i dont wanna take my females back because that would mean getting rid of 7 fully grown fish, whereas i could just get rid of 1 fully grown..

i got a 25g tank..

I suggest a Pearl Gourami. They grow to be about 4 inches and are very peacful, colorful fish.
BTW, cories are active, especially in groups of about 6. Maybe you get get 6 cories and a dwarf gourami.
