Something My Platty Did Years Ago

When I first started fish keeping I was quite young and shouldnt have been doing it, I put the water in the tank, heated it up and put the poor fish in, didnt quite understand how to look after fish properly, but learning now before i get new fish 5 years later.

But when i did have fish, i had 2 orange plattys, and i remember watching one and what can onli be described as an orange ball come out of its back bits, Was this an egg of sumsort??

It prob was an egg that the platy discarded as the water was not suitable, thus the right conditions weren't available for her to carry the eggs ful term

i once had a cuz who took his bros fish out to watch telly, use them to drive toy tractors, and he put one asleep in a cigarette box as well. Of course all died, think he killed 5 at the time. My cousin went absolutely mad over it, but its very understanable you wudnt of know anythin bout heated water or nitrogen cycle or nethin. Hell, i only found out bout all that lately lol

yea ano, its quite alot to get used to before I get my tank set up, got the tank in my room but i still cant get fish in it for atleast a few weeks when everything is right lol. I think thats part the enjoyment.

the anticipation would kill me lol
i was lucky when startin as id a tank with turtles that had well cycled water in it. It actually helped me out alot along the way, as ive had alot of teething problems, and have had to completely empty my fish tank a couple of times, so havin the cycled water from the turtle tank always there has been a life saver lol
