So I got this
for christmas. It works really good, besides the fact that my water got cloudy. I think thats only because my old gravel vac was horrible and left a lot behind. Anyways the fish seem extremely happy. They are swimming around a lot more and going through caves and whatnot. The ABF is actually moving out of his corner. Even the new rams seem extremely happy. I reccomend this vac to yall. Anyone else have it?

I have one of those somewhere, I haven't used it in forever but yes, they're pretty neat for a quick clean up. Nothing replaces changing the water though :)

Hi Lexie3787,

Does it have a maximum depth level, if so what is the deepest tank size it can be used on?

Mark

It doesnt say, but when its at its shortest length it just fits for my 29gallon long.

I have something similar and mine reaches to the bottom of my 24" deep tank. Very handy for tidy ups between water changes. :)

Hi Morgan, what make/brand is yours. I havnt got my 24" deep tank up and running yet but when I do its going to be easier with one that will cope with that depth rather than 19" max depth, I dont want to be removing 5" of water before I start the gravel vac.

Hi, it doessn't have a name on it. I will have a look online and see if I can find one like it. I have an idea it is German. I'll get back to you in a bit.

I found it first go! It is the Hagen Battery Powered Vacuum from Emerson's Pet Centre. www.petcentreonline.co.uk I don't know how to do a link so I will just have to tell you I'm afraid! It is usually £17.99 but it is £14.95 in the sale. Plus p&p but I didn't look at that. There is also one on Buy It Now on ebay for £12.50 plus p&p £1.85 It is a different brand and it says it will reach 19". The one I've got says it will reach between 8 - 16" but I do my 2ft deep tank with no problems. Hope that is of interest. I use mine because I have a Common Pleco so I like to tidy up between water changes. :) I found the item on ebay and Emersons by typing Batter Operated Gravel vac into Google.
