Someone Talk Me Down Asap

Ok...I got the betta itch just now at Petco

I went there to get Alfie sun dried shrimp, algae wafers for the ghost shrimp, and ended up getting another ghost shrimp lol

They were out of ANY kind of 5 gal tanks, so I have to wait until they get another shipment in next week

Anyway, they DID have a brand new shipment of bettas in

I was looking through them and I saw 5 right off the bat that were GORGEOUS! They had a pinkish/white one with light purple fins. They also had an all red veiltail with THE longest fins I have seen. Ahhh they were all so pretty

I asked hubby if I could get one and he said it was my money and my choice

I stood there for like 10 mins arguing with myself and finally decided not to get another

NOW I really want to get one lol


So...someone tell me it's a bad idea and not to get one

No, don't buy another. Why? Because it's fine and dandy changing 2-4 bettas 3x a week, but boy is it a royal pain in the rear changing 10! Even if all the tanks are filtered and heated, you'll still have to change the water once a week, which is a pain if you're busy. I was not happy when I had to do this. If you are a busy person, you will not be happy either. I feel for the breeders.

Sorry to be the party pooper, but you did want someone to talk you out of it.

Hah, I have to change water in 10 betta bowls, a 20GH, AND my 10G. I don't mind though...I just consider it a labor of love...I love my babies oh so much!

You should def get another...bettas are the most addictive fish!!!!
