i couldnt see the pic clearly :lol: so it should b fine! i had doubts it was a dwarf because of the colour!

just rechecked on your post in photos looked it is not a kissing looks like a dwarf too me!
 
I didn't think it was a kissing one cos it doesn't have the pouting lips.

Is there a way of telling if it's a honey or dwarf. I did ask the lfs for a female dwarf.

If it's a honey does it matter?? I don't want them breeding anyway, but I thought it'd be nice if they were the same species.
 
Yep, that's a dwarf female (colisa lalia). Not a honey and not a kissing gourami either. You can tell for certain that a gourami is not a kisser if it has the long thread-like ventral feelers (or is re-growing a lost one in some cases) as kissers have normal, (non-modified) ventral fins. Also, the body shape of honeys (colisa chuna/sota that is - not the dwarf color morph which is the same species as the dwarf, colisa lalia) is different and they are slightly smaller and more delicate looking.
