i posted about my gourami being bullied, ive now just got home from cinema and he has some scales missing, he is a banded gourami and the platy attaching him is a male. i dont think its white spot, the thing is he is pooing alot, its all over tank trailing everywhere. i dont feed them too often. once every 2 days. help someone

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

I would issolate him and think of rehoming the platy or the gouarami.
The poo what colour is it and does it look stringy.
Are the scales missing because of the platy bullying him.

60 litre tank
3 neons
1 bristlenose catfish
2 platy one female one male
1 bullied gourami.
poo is stringy and white, last but coming off him is clear.
stats
nitrite is 0.3 ( orange )
ammonia 0.25 below and is yellow. lowest on my test kit.

How long has the tank been set up.
Long stringy white poo or clear poo can be signs of internal parasites.
Does his anus look enlarged or red and inflamed.
Does he look thin or bloated.
What do you feed your fish.
Have you issolated his as stress weakens there immune system and also there slime coat goes thinner when stressed.

I would do a water change and increase aeration in the tank.

been 3 weeks and yes im cycled .. i havent got him alone cos only got one tank.. poo is thick not clear. he looks fine apart from scale missing..... male platy always seems to be pecking at him on that place

Your tanks not cycled if you have an ammonia and nitrite reading. It should be 0.
Issolate him and find a new home for either the platy or gourami.

i had readings of 0.25 for both thats lowest readings i can get from my tests i got. lfs sold me fish, i didnt know i shouldnt have the neons.

Just put a 0 reading then as it gets confusing.

yeah the yellow is 0.25 below. then goes up in readings and colours. its doesnt have a 0.0

nitrite test kit is tetra test. ammonia is api test kit

I think the missing scales is down to the platy pecking at him.
I would issolate him and keep an eye on the area of missing scales as he has lost his protection with losing his scales.
You can add melafix to stop wounds getting infected.

got rid of the naughty platy back to lfs. you should see my gourami now, he is swimming around and is so different... glad i got rid of the platy. lfs didnt believe it was a naughty fish

That's good news then.
Good Luck.
