Some Sort Of Algae?

After soaking wood for what seemed like an eternity , im finally ready to put it back into my tank...after looking at the wood, some sort of white algae seems to have grown on the wood, just wondering if i should wash it off or if it would give my fish something safe to graze on...

as bits of abstract art, these are interesting pictures. as a aid to help find the fungi you are suffering, sadly they are no use at all..

haha sorry, i hate point-shoot cameras, but it's all i've got...i put new ones in the original post, hope they will suffice

Is it like a clear jelly? I had this on my wood after boiling it, cleared it all off and put in the tank after a few days it reappeared all the fish ate it! this was about 2 months ago and it hasn't reappeared and the fish had no adverse affects. hope this helps.

It isn't really like jelly, but really slimy... its pretty thin and rubs away easily...Thanks for the info!
