I have some questions about a few fish that i have had some mixed information about.

Snowflake eel - will this eel disturb and corals that i place in the tank? i have heard that they are less likley to eat tankmates, but would one eat a yellow watchman goby, percula clown, yellow tailed blue damsel, flame angel or a pyramid snail?

Flame angel - i have heard that these pick at corals, its it true? how reef compatible are they? could it live with a pyramid snail, because the snail eats a lot of algea?(of course i will feed it nori)

Moorish Idol - is it reef compatiable?

Butterflyfish in general - which ones are the easiest to keep, and reef suitable?

Humu Picasso Triggerfish, Bursa Triggerfish - will these eat other fish such as the ones stated in the Snowflake eel question above? will the harm corals?

What is the easiest tang to care for?

google each of those to get ur answers!

moorish idol needs a massive tank and from reports never really do well in the aquaria.

ur lionfish is going to eat all those fish u described!

your tangs r easy to care for but the do nip coral and have a shoking history of getting whitespot.

snow flake eel i dont see any problems with but id say it will eat anything that fits in its mouth which is mostly the fish u have atm.

triggers will destroy your corals befor u even have a chance to fish them back out again

flame angels are just an absolute b####h in general and will not get along with much!

Snowflake eels teeth are made to crush to shrimps n crabs n such. They generaly won't eat tankmates provided they are well fed. They can be opportunists. IMO, having a bottom dwelling fish (goby) is just asking for trouble. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/snowflakemoray.htm

Well, I've heard it's hit and miss w/flames. One may not touch a single coral all it's life, while another ravenously eats them. Then yet another is great for the first while and then to the horror of the fish keeper, it gets a taste for them  "Dwarf angels are known prey items for many larger reef fishes. Hence their inquisitive, alert, darting, secretive behavior and appeal/appropriateness as aquarium specimens. Be wary of placing them with large predaceous species, e.g. big triggers, groupers/basses, lionfishes..." http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/fishes/a...ge/loricula.htm

PLEASE PLEASE do not try to keep a morish Idol. They have soo soo poor captivity rates that it's not worth it. It's basically flushing $ down the drain, plus helping to sustain their trade  Plus, they need at least 125 gallon tank. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/idolfaqs.htm

Not reef suitable....sigh...I want one, though it's not gonna happen b/c of that.

Triggers are known to pick on fish and will eat your CUC. They are very beautiful fish that require a very minimum of 75 usg. They get 9" or so long.

What is the easiest tang to care for? I'd say the flame angel and snowflake eel.

Make sure your corals and rocks are secure, otherwise the eel may topple them. Damsels would be at risk of being eaten, especially when it matures. :good:
