Here are some pics of my 75 gallon African tank. Just newly added 20 Demasoni and 12 White Labs. They have been in there for a week so far and they all seem to be settling in well. Not much aggression so far, I can see some male Demasoni claiming their territories no major conflicts so far. I have been feeding them Spirulina flake, forzen Spirulina brine shrimp and frozen " Emerald Cuisine ".

Good Work!
I really like the rock work!

What kind of plants are those? I want to plant my malawi tank, but I heard they will destroy and uproot plants. How often are you replanting yours?

Beautiful tank. Especially loving the rockwork.

Thank you for the comments, I tried to make the rockwork look as natural as possible. The plants are Java Fern, no problems so far. But they were just some clippings from my 55g Brichardi tank, so if they do tear them up it's fine.

I am about to rescape my cichlid tanks. So I love looking at what other people have done to draw inspiration. The biggest thing I have seen is that my layout is boxy lol. Bout to take a hammer to the rocks in my tank lol

In my 55g Brichardi tank and the 75g what I did was either put the rocks in first, or if the sand is already in there I would push the sand to one side and then place the rocks. I find it makes the rocks more secure and it sort of creates deeper caves when you sweep the sand back over to the rocks b/c the sand doesn't fill the void underneath the rocks. As I'm sure you can tell I used beach rocks in this setup.

I used limestone rocks in mine. Some are shaped like flat slate, other are rectangular or square. I will have to try sweeping the sand aside when i rescape tomorrow .

Pretty sure the java fern will die if it's just stuck in the sand that way.

The Java Fern in the 55 gallon are doing well. Oh, I just noticed that I mentioned they were clippings, I forgot to mention they have roots on them. I guess really they were clippings sometime ago. Any clippings I have I throw in a ten gallon to grow out somewhat, then when I need some I just pick some out of that.

Java fern must have it's rhizome uncovered to live for some reason.

Very nice fish and tank, good to see 2 species in larger group's :)

Thank you for all the comments. Yeah with the two large groups I'm hoping for some stability in terms of aggression. Everyone's doing good so far, everyone's is eating and looking healthy. I have been taking some time during the day to have a look at the tank for a few minutes to make sure that there isn't anyone getting beaten up or not eating. Hopefully I'll soon start seeing some females holding.
