What substrate are you using? It looks superbly natural.

:D all these coments jus made my day.

yes my cockatoo is very sexy... :shifty: its the best looking cockatoo ive ever had.

haha...baldranger, everytime i post a pic of my tank up someone asks me wot my substrate is. And my reply has always been, Normal LFS gravel. hehe. i really have no idea wot type it is... all i know is that its from my LFS and is very common.

Thanks everybody

great pics and i love the substrate!

lovely tank jer- and that fish is awesome.

as to the gap on the rear right side. how about Tiger Lotus Lillys, they'll fill out the top without hiding the plants underneath.

heres a few pics of mine (just planted 5 days ago)

That's a beautiful tank and one gorgeous fish you have there !

yes i was looking at lotuses b4...they look great.

but do they really fill up spaces nicely? from what i have seen at this fish store the lotuses have leaves only at the top and the stem part may look abit...empty.....

and plus they are so expensive!! well...compared to american or even aussie dollars they are CHEAP but polish money wise they are pretty pricey....20 dollars for a bunch of 2!!

you would plant them at the rear, behind the plants so all you would see is the lilly leaf which would fill the gap nicely.

as to price i spent £4 on one potted tiger lotus from greenline. when it arrived i split it into 4 plants (at least 25 leaves in total)

i may start exporting cuttings to poland with those prices

not sure if greenline export. may be worth a call.

the substrate is called.....normal....gravel....that can be found in all pet shops here... :shifty:

i really dunno wot type it is...
but yes...ive never been able to grow hairgrass...now its growing and rooting and etc....i think u can even see the roots in one pic...

:hey:
