Yay! Another fellow dragon goby lover!

He's looking a tad skinny though. Plus I highly recommend you give him a sandy substrate cause they love to burrow!

yeah like my goby only had him about a week now but he seems to be settling in fine and feeding well, he has a little disagreement with the talking catfish over the cave but apart from that he is wicked.

Our two Violet Gobies are getting fat on a variety of foods, but without doubt their favourite is "King British Fish Treats Tablet Food" These are tablets which slowly crumble in the water. Our gobies pick them up and suck on them like a sweet until they're gone. They love 'em.

Wonderful picture anyways I'm sure that will grow up to be a beautiful fish

But IMO it looks alot more like Metynnis hypsauchen just looking at the fin shape and coloring.

i must be honest i have never heard of the black banded pacu either so had to have them but i tend to agree i dont think its usual pacu shape either.
