I moved my male beta two weeks ago to my 10 gallon shrimp tank. It is heated and filtered and is well planted, so he is very happy there.

At first he chased the shrimp a bit, but he has since left them alone since they are too fast to catch. I also have 3 rams horn snails in the tank which he doesn't mind either.

Please note that the shrimp are all 1/2 inch or longer and so are too large to eat. Any smaller and they would be lunch.

there are actually quite a few babies in there right now. My tank is well planted,s o they have tons of places to hide from him.

This topic reminds me of my Uncles SHrimp in taiwan, he has like a fulval edge tank, it looks like tht but isnt, and its absolutly beatiful, the tank has many plants and shrimp swimming around in it, they have red strips running up and down the lengths of their body. and this also reminds me of my other uncles shrim p farm in ecuador, i caught shrimp there lol

I had Cherry Shrimp (only 3) with my Betta, but even though two were a good size none of them survived long, I do seem to have a Betta intolerant of anything else in the tank even the pitbull pleco, though barely moves nowadays, Lemmy the Betta still keeps going at it and he also killed two of my Ember tetras, He will in a few weeks just have the 10 gallon to himself as I will be getting a new 40 gallon tank which the others will go into. Just down to pure luck of the Betta's personality.

I just got 3 male endlers as friends for my Betta.
So far he's not taken much notice of them
