Mmkay so I learned that life can't exist without death this week.
Because when I got my guppies from Petsmart, the stupid idiot dropped one of my girls on the floor. He doesn't ask me if I still want her (I still would have.. but anyway), just picks her up without an apology and drops her into the bag. He then remarks, "Looks like she already has some babies!" I was like, "Psh.. not anymore. You just killed 'em all." And yes, abotu an hour after I put her into the tank at my house you could tell that all of the fry were dead- her insides clouded red.

Then, the day before yesterday, my last female betta died. Oh well.. she was a nasty little thing anyway lol.

However, yesterday as I was cleaning the tank, I noticed that another of my guppy girls who had appeared pregnant for some time, but was never very large, looked normal again. However I assumed that if there were any surviving fry I would've noticed. So I cleaned the tank and poured the cloudy water down the drain.

Then, as I'm fixing the plants, I see a little thing dart by. "OHMYGOSHHH." I spent the next half hour searching for fry and came up with three. I put them in the divided section of the tank.

I noticed one of them had a tendency to want to burrow into the rocks as opposed to swimming like the other two. I'm really paranoid that they'll bury themselves alive when they do that, so I put them all three into the breeding trap for now.

The burrower's behavior has not changed- it likes to sit on the bottom most of the time and rarely moves around. I know he can when he wants to, but he's usually very inactive, especially compared to the other two.

Might this be a problem?

Fry do burrow themselves, just keep an eye on him.
Sorry about the droped female is she ok, and poor little fry.

Oh yeah.
The dropped female's fine.

The fry looks better- swims around.
But its movements are rather erratic (sp?)

They appear to be eating. Can't be sure though. I never actually see them consume any food.
