Fish Crazy
So it seems that I always have some bad news to tell about my Fish. What with a columnaris outbreak, a re-cycle with Fish, most Fish not making it and then Gem dieing while pregnant... it's all gone wrong for me and my Fish : (
But I actually have some good news today! A few days ago the last of the "Fantango" and "Slims" fry were put into the main tank along with the adults, Jappy, Micky and pregnant Panda.
For those that aren't aware, the "Fantango" fry were born from a past Guppy called Geisha. She was a pretty blonde with a bright red tail. And the "slims" are Panda first fry. She's now preggers again, so it's all very exiting : )
The "fan-two-go" fry are all doing well, no deaths! To be honest they've suprized me 'cause I really did expect to loose some. They're still very tiny, seem to be growing slower that the other fry have managed, but they're eating well and are livlely little things, so fingers crossed for them : )
Anywho, who would like to see my baby photos?
Most are about a CM long now with some a bit bigger. While Gems only fry (still nameless) is half way to full grown! I'm not sure how that's worked 'cause she's only a week older than the "Fantangos". But never the less they're all doing very well in their new bigger home and so far there have been no casulties or bullying.
Enough talk, babies! : 3
Some of the black marked "Fantangos"
And the as-far planer ones
some of the "Slims"
Some of Gem's single fry. Her tail colours are starting to show now, with yellow, green and that lovely streak of red.
I'm afraid the photos don't do it justice...
One with Micky and a "Fantango"
Pregnant Panda
One of Jappy
And one to show the size comparison between Panda and Gem's fry with a "Slim" and a "Fantango"...
Sorry for the bad photos, my camera is old and the babies are fast!
Ignore the background, it's black but reflects the flash so looks awful in photos : /
Anyways, hope they're worth the wait : )
