I have a relatively aggressive rainbow fish. Its yellow with a yellow and red tail, so im not sure what type that is. hes the only one in a 20g tank, and i was gonna go get other fish. Do other rainbow fish work? Hes about 3in long so somewhat large.
thanks :good:

Sounds like your average "australian" rainbowfish. how do you know he's aggressive if he's by himself?? Anyway, I would get him some friends! They like to be in schools - if I were you, I'd pick up a few more - say 3 or 4 and add them in. They should do fine together. I have 3 myself. You should be able to get them at Petsmart for like $1.99. Also, you could probably get some bottom dwellers for your tank and they will all get along fine as rainbows stay in the top 1/2 of the tank. You could try some of the cories or loaches. HTH!

Your profile states that you have a 20g with an albino tiger barb, some form of a bottom feeder, and 2 iridescent sharks, is that still the case?

I would try getting some more rainbow fish and then some loaches or corries if you just have the rainbow, but if you have all the other fish that is in your profile then I would find out the fish that could go with them. It sounds like you might be overstocked becuase some of those fish can get pretty large! Good luck and please keep us updated!
