Here you can clearly see the gender differences.

Heterandria Formosa ("Least Killie")

Can you believe I found him swimming among feeder mollies at the LFs?

Great plants and cute shrimp   !
I don't know about the fish though, last time i heard the only fish that can happily live in a 2gal are bettas -_- .

heterandria formosa are some of the smallest fish in the hobby. One breeder told me you could keep over 5 in a 1g happily. Not only this fish though, there are a lot of very small fish appropriate for very small aquaria-- hyphesobrycon amandae, borara maculata, endler's live bearer, emerald microrasbora (though now classified as a danio), and several others.

geez, always so negative and condescending tokis

great looking tank tear-scar

There are several that can be, doesn't mean you should normally. :p It's a nice tank though and it looks obvious you know what you're doing. It's when other people do it that scares me.

Hey TS,

Come On Give us an Update ON ALL your tanks.

How Are the Micro Pico's Coming Along.

It's still a work in progress . . . -_- Overall, I'm happy with it's developement, particularly the glosso. This was taken last saturday-- we are now into the third week of it's growth. This photo is also posted in the planted tank section.

1 foot cube = now a grow out instead of a display tank. There is Taiwan Moss and Pellia everywhere, as well as an assortment of other plants that I fancy-- including a variety of stem plants.

10g = now a half-filled vivarium dedicated to growing local mosses and liverworts emersed and submersed. I am having success growing some of the plants under water.

5g = still a display but had a complete overhall.

Most of the others have been taken down. I am slowly preparing to leave and go to college so-- almost all my tanks will be coming down. I'm setting up a 30g at a friends house to use as a grow-out for plants, and a home for all my remaining fish (there aren't many still in my collection as I have been finding knew homes for them). The 30g will be for the sake of keeping my collection, and hopefully producing cuttings I can use in a tank at my dorm at Tulane University.

Most likely all the tanks except the 30 at the friends house and the 20g at my house that is a shrimp nursery, will be taken down eventually.
