Well, there is only one thing I disagree with here, and that's "wearing leasure wear", as I know there isn't specifically two types of chavs, but there is. There is the yobo's who go around littering and throwing bricks through windows, but there is also the stylish chav, usually known as a charver. Who just wears designer clothes, caps and things, basically dresses like a chav but have a bit more respect for the way they look. They also have respect for other people, and their belongings.

I watched the page with Devvo. He appears to be someone with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I know personally what this is like as my adopted special needs son is FAS. Here's the description from www.nofas.org:

A baby with FASD may be born with a small head and identifiable facial features. He or she may have abnormalities or deformities of the limbs, hands or feet. Heart, liver and kidney problems are common, as well as vision and hearing problems. Children with FASD may experience slow growth and coordination. Children do not "outgrow" FASD and its serious consequences. They become adolescents and adults who may have difficulties with learning, attention, memory and problem solving. "

These children/youth/adults often can talk the talk about what's right and wrong, and what not to do, but they have a very poor time in walking the walk to back it up. They really need an external brain to be their conscience. (Think Jiminy Cricket for Pinnocchio!) They have lifelong issues with logic, reasoning, common sense, grey vs. black/white on outlook and understanding innuendo. This unfortunately goes hand in hand with drugs. People who are high on methamphetamines often use alcohol to control (or so they think) the amount of 'buzz' they are getting. FASD is very bad here in the States. (I personally suspect our Pres.--just compare his pic. with that of a typical FASD face and you will see what I mean.) What's scary is that these new generations will be running the world as we age. Living as a senior in a rest home with FASD/no conscience kids in charge of my health and well being fills my veins with ice, to say the least. What I've researched about your "Chav" group seems to go hand in hand with our druggies who self medicate over here. The only chance for them is very early intervention--psychiatry, therapy, medication and behavior modification; but it's an ongoing battle with a life long problem, and costs our societies in gazillions of dollars. I imagine most of the people in our jails fit into this category also.

I don't know the answer other than to pray, for all of us, sharing this planet. Do what you can to help, and may God send us all "the peace that passes understanding" to live and deal with it.

Thank God for Koi! Their lovely personalities and beautiful colors remind us of the good that's left in this world.

The biggest Chav give away is Burberry! But any desinger label (usually fake) will do!

I think we brits should stop worrying about labels and just start getting tougher with anti social behaviour.

Gah, so sad to here

Chavs round here have pushed everyone out the village. The locals keep to themselves and none of us go out and about like we used to. The chavs come and sit on my front garden wall, trashing the flowers we worked hard on and throwing their fag butts and rubbish into our garden. Not to mention walking past our house at 2am totaly drunk, keying cars and stealing things. Makes me so so mad but as you have said, police cant/wont do anything.

In my town Chatteris(england)there are loads of 'wanna be chavs'..who think theyr'e chavs but are not..but still wear all the bling and track suits.Soon i predict that they wil turn into real chavs and ill have to resort shooting them with my BB gun ,and making them cringe from my heavy metal ..atack is the best way of defence muahahha.I'm more of a greebo(you know the classic teenager who likes rock music skate boarding etc),in my old town bury st edmunds my bro saw a chav vs greebo fight ..i wonder who one..GREEBO'S ....greebos goths whoever should all reunite and KiLl ALl cHaVs B) ...btw hope your pond and remaining fish will be oke.

www.chavscum.co.uk is a good chav website i too am a more greebo like teenager. all the chavs i know all say there just cool not chavs. even though they come to school in burberry and classic white trainers with the phone blering out crappy hip hop music and an knife in there pocket and i live in a well of area.

This may be abit off-topic but i am fed up of constantly being judged and placed into classes like "chavs" and "Grunges" the main problem for todays youth is that if you try to be a good, normal citizen you are regarded as a "Geek" or "Nerd" and i unfortunately fall into this catagory, people need to learn what a Geek or Nerd really is...

The only people I regard as freaks are people who slit their wrists, and goths (not all goths), who wear the most ridiculous things and have the most ridiculous accesories. I'm sort of a nerd if you like, i'm ALWAYS on the computer and i'm obsessed by fish, but hey not everyone has to be the same! I just dress in designer clothes and go out with my mates for a laugh, but I don't vandalise things, I don't even litter. We always talk to each other with chav voices because it's sometimes funny between us, but I respect my elders.

There is nothing wrong with living in a council house, my mother did, she turned out fine, don't be so stereotypical.
